The Statistical Probability Of Love At First sight Blog Tour

Today we’re welcoming Jennifer E Smith, author of The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight….over to you Jennifer…

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter – I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t want to be best friends with Hermione.  She’s clever and loyal and funny, and she always seems to have the answers.  The only person in the world I’d rather have as a BFF is possibly JK Rowling.
Ron Weasley from Harry Potter – Can I pick two buddies from Hogwarts?  If so, I’d like to be pals with Ron too.  If only to get invited to spend holidays at The Burrow.
Jo March from Little Women – I don’t think there’s a better literary hero out there, at least not for bookish types.  She’s stubborn and passionate, and you can’t help but root for her.  I don’t just want to be her best friend – I want to be her sister!
Rue from The Hunger Games – If I had to forge any sort of alliance, Rue would definitely be my girl.  I still get choked up when I think about her bravery.
Tibby from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants – All four of the girls from these books are great, and I wouldn’t mind being friends with all of them, but Tibby has always been my favorite.  She’s a little bit unpredictable, but she’s a great friend to all the others.
Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie – I love these books, and I love reading about Laura’s adventures.  Plus it’s always handy to have a BFF who can churn butter or start a fire or just generally survive on the prairie.  Or in the big woods.  Or wherever else you might be.

Thanks Jennifer…other stops on the tour listed below…

  1. Ms. Smith’s writing is excellent, delicately balancing the story with dialogue and story and moving at a quick but unrushed paced, with emphasis on character interactions, detailed but not over-the-top descriptions of people, places and situations and I was completely immersed.
