Weekly Wrap Up – 11th February 2018

Almost half way through February already! We’ve had snow, wind, rain and a bit of sunshine this week – but one thing I’m noticing is the nights getting lighter! I hate the dark nights, and really struggle in the early months of the year, but the end is sight – spring is on it’s way, the light nights are coming and there’s signs of spring flowers pushing their way through in the garden. It’s given me a much needed boost.

Reading wise, I’ve had a fab week. Is anyone else feeling that this year is already epic on the book front? I haven’t read a bad one yet. I reviewed The Echo Killing by Christi Daugherty and The Chalk Man by C.J Tudor this week BOTH fantastic reads I can’t recommend enough.

I also read Everything Is lies by Helen Callaghan (author of Dear Amy) and The Betrayal by Anne Allen (ready for the blog tour next week)

Ok, now for new books and I’m sorry as this is a bit epic!

Firstly, here’s some of the amazingly awesome books I received through the post this week, courtesy of publishers and Amazon Vine.

And then, I went a bit wild on Netgalley and was approved for the following books. I’m seriously excited about these!

What a week! A new Sarah Pinborough, Claire Mackintosh AND Lucy Dillon. I think this week wins already this year for best book week. And, rather than growing tired, the thriller genre seems to be growing from strength to strength – I can’t get enough. I’m now slightly obsessed with crime/detective style books aswell which I hadn’t really read a great deal of previously.

So that’s my epic week. Hope everyone else has had a fantastic book week too. Are you planning on reading any of these? Which books were you excited about this week?
