I love saying goodbye to February. It hasn’t been a bad Month, in fact book wise it has been great. I’ve read some fantastic books this month, with the bonus on having the half term break to spend doing lots and lots of reading. But March is when you can feel change is in the air. The spring flowers are well on their way to pushing their way up in the world, the nights are getting lighter. I really struggle with dark nights, so when March comes round, I feel like I’m waking up and find energy that had disappeared over the dark winter months.
|At Work This morning…lovely!
Book of The Month
I read nine books in February…and enjoyed them all. However, my book of the month was Sealskin by Su Bristow
Coming Up In March
Here’s some of the books I’m looking forward to reading and reviewing in March
I’ve read The last Act of Hattie Hoffman since taking this photo…watch out for a review coming soon.
Are any of these on your list? What are you looking forward to reading in March?
My seven year old daughter, Lucy, has as much a thing about book covers as I have. She’s quite often found in front of my book shelves purring over a pretty cover, as well as her own.
So when Luisa Plaja’s latest book popped through the letterbox a few days ago, she instantly fell in love. In fact she thought it was for her full stop and I had to wrestle it out of her hands. It was the little Hama bead people on the front she was so taken with, and today she decided to recreate them herself with Aqua beads (we don’t have the other type..yet)
Here’s the result. I think she did a pretty good job.. don’t you?
Maybe this could be a theme *off to see what other covers we can recreate with play doh, pipe cleaners and sequins* Suggestions below … 😀
Kiss date Love Hate by Luisa Plaja is out February 2nd. I’ll be reading and reviewing it next week.
The sun made a very welcome appearance this weekend, the flip flops were dug out, freezer filled with ice creams and a bit of dodgy fake tan applied….it was just like SUMMER! YAY! (and there I go cursing it now)
So in eager anticipation of the sunshine ahead we’re planning some serious Summer Reading and need your help. We’re looking for recommendations of your favourite summer books, preferably with a bit of romance! We don’t mind if it’s contemp, historical, paranormal … whatever as long as it’s Summery.
We’re planning on celebrating our Summer Reads in July, more info soon, but for now…hit us with your recommendations in the comments below!

What if love refused to die?
Haven Moore can’t control her visions of a past with a boy called Ethan, and a life in New York that ended in fiery tragedy. In our present, she designs beautiful dresses for her classmates with her best friend Beau. Then an impossible group of coincidences conspire to force her to flee to New York, to discover who she is, and who she was.
In New York, Haven meets Iain Morrow and is swept into an epic love affair that feels both deeply fated and terribly dangerous.
